Getting to the Venue
Arriving by Plane The Hilton City Center is conveniently located near the Milwaukee General Mitchell Airport. Unfortunately, there is no airport shuttle offered by the hotel. The cost of a cab from the airport to hotel is about $30 per way. Taxis can pick up passengers outside of Baggage Claim #3. Local accommodations recommends sharing a cab with others arriving at similar times. Another option would be a ride from either an Uber or Lyft car service; an estimation for an Uber is about $23. Both of these carriers usually pick up riders as they exit Baggage Claim #2. near "Exit Ticketing" signs. Those arriving from the airport should expect about a 20 minute ride to the Hotel. Another option for those arriving by plane would be to take a Coach USA bus from the airport to downtown Amtrak Intermodal, and then take a cab,ride service, or walk to the convention site. Driving Route from General Mitchell Airport to Conference Site
Arriving by Train Those traveling from major cities such as Chicago also have the option of taking a train to the conference. Amtrak has two close locations in Milwaukee: the Intermodal Station and the Milwaukee Airport Rail Station, with a shuttle to General Mitchell Airport for a cost of $8-9. However, the Milwaukee Intermodal Station is only about a five minute walk from the hotel, and is right off a major highway. One-way tickets range from $25-35. Arriving by Bus Those who are interested in taking buses have several options. Wisconsin Coach Lines operates services to Wisconsin suburbs as well as trips between Chicago's O'Hare airport to Milwaukee's Intermodal Amtrak Station. Once at the Amtrak station, attendees could either take a cab,ride service, or walk to the convention site. Weather in Milwaukee is unpredictable. Please check the weather in advance so attendees can plan accordingly. In April, Milwaukee natives can expect anything from snow-covered sidewalks to sunny days. Again, consult local weather services to be most prepared.
General Mitchell Airport is extremely small compared to larger city airports. Attendees can expect flights to be on-time and efficient.
Parking is offered on-sight for $25 per day in the hotel's indoor garage. Hourly rates vary by amount of time in the garage. Other options for parking include street and private lot locations via the SpotHero application in which rates and availability vary daily.
Be aware that construction is a year-round season in Milwaukee. Traffic will increase between rush hour (7-9am and 4-6pm). Attendees should be sure to a lot themselves enough time for transportation.
